Storing Luggage at Dallas Love Field Airport

Unfortunately, Love Field does not offer luggage storage. However, if you are taking the Amtrak into town, you can store your luggage at Union Station for the day. But more on that later. While we’re talking about Love Field, here are some answers to common questions we hear about it.

Dallas Love Field Security Checkpoint Hours

Love Field is open 24 hours, but flights only depart between the hours of 6 AM and 11 PM due to noise restrictions. You can still go through security during the late night/early morning hours.

Looking for your flight? Here’s an up-to-date list of Dallas Love Field departures.

And while we’re at it, we’ll just leave this Dallas Love Field map here if you need it.

And finally, here’s a great place to find a good deal on a Dallas Love Field rental car

Luggage Storage at DFW Airport

Due to security concerns, there is no luggage storage at DFW. If you’re going to go explore, we again suggest taking an Amtrak train and storing your bags at Union Station. Storing luggage at airports has become much more difficult in recent years as they have understandably tightened security.

Do Airports Have Storage Lockers?

No matter where you’re traveling, you may be wondering where to leave luggage in the airport. However, because of increased security, most airports no longer offer luggage storage.

There are a few that still offer luggage storage, or allow a third party to offer it. When you find yourself in one of those few airports, you may wonder: how long can I leave my luggage at the airport? The answer depends on the luggage storage service’s individual policies. Most will store your luggage for anywhere from a few hours to a few weeks.

Union Station Dallas Luggage Storage

Dallas’s Union Station is easily one of the most reliable places in the city to store luggage. If you’re a ticket holder, you can store the first two bags for free! Each additional bag is $20 per 24 hour period.

If you want to go sightseeing sans luggage in Dallas, Amtrak baggage storage at Union Station is probably your best bet.

Hotel Luggage Storage

Occasionally, hotels are willing to store luggage for you even if you’re not staying there. We suggest calling in advance to make sure they offer this service, and if they do, remember to tip the person who helped you!

First, many locals recommend renting a car upon arrival since Dallas is so spread out. If you intend to see more than just a small portion of the city, then we second this idea. Not only will it be much easier to get around, but it will also solve your luggage storage problem!
