Unfortunately, Austin is rather low on its current luggage storage options.
But that’s about to change!
Our team here at Knock Knock City is working hard to bring you affordable luggage storage in convenient locations throughout Austin. Soon, you’ll have several options to choose from, all of which are tailored to meet your needs as a traveler.
In the meantime, you do have another option: hotels.
Occasionally, hotels will hold luggage even if you’re not staying overnight. This is far from a sure thing, and it’s best to call in advance just in case they can’t help. Your chances are much higher if you’re a member of their loyalty or rewards programs. Finally, if you do store your luggage at a hotel, be sure to tip the front desk person who helped you out!
You may be in Austin to sightsee, or you may have flown in for business. Or, you may be here for a layover and are ready to ditch the airport for a while to enjoy some time on the town. When you hear the words ‘Austin, Texas,’ what comes to mind?
For many people, the answer is a laid-back city known for its vibrant cultural and music scene. There’s great food to be sampled, a nightlife to be enjoyed, history to explore, live performances to see, and very friendly locals. As far as easygoing layovers go, it doesn’t get much better than Austin!
First and foremost: Austin gets very hot! Be sure to drink lots of water and spend some time indoors to cool off if you plan to be outside a lot. And as always, remember to load up on sunblock to protect your skin.
Second, there are always events happening in the city, so check the calendar before you go to see if there are any you might want to include in your itinerary.
Finally, enjoy the live music! If you eat out for your meals (which we recommend since the food is unbelievably good here), there’s a good chance you’ll get to see a live performance. So sit back, relax, and experience Austin’s unique music scene firsthand.
You’ve probably heard the saying: “everything’s bigger in Texas.”
Well, it’s true.

Stroll through its beautifully kept grounds, tour its buildings, and enjoy the view from the top of the Capitol Building. And don’t forget to enjoy Austin’s beautiful parks and outdoor spaces! They’re certainly worth a visit as well.
