Some hotels are willing to provide this service, and some are not, depending on your circumstances. Staying there or being a rewards member both boost your chances of having them store your bags for you.
Sometimes, you can leave luggage at a hotel before check-in. Many hotels offer this service, and would be happy to let you store your luggage with them before checking into your room for the evening.

If you’ve just flown into the Charleston International Airport and are looking for a place to store your luggage, then you’re in luck! The Amtrak station just a few blocks away offers bag check and will watch your suitcases as you explore the city.
Storage is free for Amtrak ticket holders. If you’re a non-ticket holder, they will still store your luggage, but you will have to pay $20 per bag.
