Luggage storage around museums and attractions

Lot of museums around Amsterdam have a very strict no luggage policy. It’s therefore crucial before heading to a museum that you check the website of the museum before going.

Helpful information about where you can and cannot store your luggage & bags in Amsterdam:

1, Van Gogh Museum: Large bags, backpacks, umbrellas and other oversized objects are not permitted in the museum. You can find a luggage storage at the Museumplein Q-Park garage.

2, Anne Frank House: The museum has a cloakroom where you can leave your coat, bag, umbrella, or buggy. Only bags that are smaller than an A4 sheet of paper can be carried inside. We do not have room to store large bags and backpacks, suitcases, or other large items.

3, Royal Palace of Amsterdam: There is a cloakroom where you can leave your jacket and bag. Big pieces of luggage are not allowed inside.

4, Rembrandt House Museum: Large bags, backpacks, baby slings, umbrellas and comparable items must be left in the cloakroom, where there are free lockers available. Handbags and other small bags are permitted. These may be checked by security staff for safety and security reasons.

5, Madame Toussauds Museum: Of course you can take your luggage with you during your walk through the museum. Unfortunately it is not possible to leave your luggage at Madame Tussauds for security reasons. Large bags and other baggage should be stored at other locations.
