Making The Most of Your Travel Time and Budget

March 01, 2018

There will be times where you may find yourself with a quick layover in New York City.

Just because you are short on time doesn’t mean you have to be short on experience. There are still plenty of things for you to take advantage of while in the city, all without breaking the bank!

Here are a few examples near JFK airport:

No budget?
Meet friends and have a time without spending a dime. From the Unisphere, to Queens Botanical Garden, to Gantry Plaza State Park, there is scenery everywhere. No matter what direction you face, you will find skylines and beauty nearby. Take them in without putting out money.

$10 Budget???
Throughout the vicinity of JFK, you will find attractions that won’t cost you more than $10 to experience. Check out the Brooklyn Cyclones playing ball on Coney Island or visit the famous Bronx Zoo all while spending less than $10, but still getting your money’s worth.

Got $20? Here are some things to do!
Meet friends for a meal within the city and only spend $20 or less. Near JFK you will find the Shake Shack, where you can enjoy a juicy burger or hit the spot ice cream and catch up with old or new friends. Or another option is Deep Blue, a delicious sushi bar serving you authentic Japanese plates. Both suggestions will cost you no more than $20.
