Indianapolis is famous for many things, not least of which is its sporting events. And if you’re flying in to catch a Colts game at Lucas Oil Stadium, then you’re probably eagerly anticipating the great experience you’ll have.

Museums are often skated over during travel, but there are a few in Indianapolis that are well worth a visit.
If you love nature and art, we recommend visiting Newfields, which includes the Indianapolis Museum of Art as well as several beautiful parks and gardens. Or, check out the Eiteljorg Museum, which is focused on the art and culture of the American West. Finally, if you’re traveling with children, be sure to check out the Indianapolis Children’s Museum, the largest museum of its kind in the world.
And the best part?

Unfortunately, Indianapolis currently has a shortage of luggage storage.
However, if you plan on seeing quite a bit of Indianapolis, it may be worth it to rent a car. That way you can be free to go wherever you want, and you can leave your luggage securely locked in the trunk.
If renting a car isn’t an option, you could also call local hotels and see if they would be willing to store your bags for you. If their answer is ‘yes,’ be sure to tip the person who helped you (bellhop, front desk staff, etc.) out of courtesy.
Traveling is very rewarding, but as all of us know, it can also be hard. Red-eye flights, airport security, the hassle of booking, and traveling expenses can get to you after a while! And after all that, realizing that there’s no place to stash your luggage for a day on the town can be frustrating, to say the least.
Which is exactly why our team at Knock Knock City is hard at work in order to provide you with information on affordable luggage storage solutions.
There’s no place quite like Indianapolis. Here, you can find just about anything - from sports to sports cars to breweries to nature parks. Its friendly culture and wealth of activities make it a great place to bring a family, as well as an awesome city to explore on your own.
First, know that many of the attractions in downtown Indianapolis are within walking distance of each other. That’s great news if you don’t want to spend money on a car! But it also gets very warm during the summer, so bring comfortable clothing, sunblock, and be sure to drink lots of water. On the flip side, bring a coat in the winter, as the weather commonly dips below freezing.
Second, Indianapolis has a huge sports culture - which means that game days (NBA, NFL, etc.) can get crowded. Be sure to plan accordingly if you’re visiting for a sporting event, and if you’re not, we recommend visiting on a different day in order to save time.
We’ve already mentioned a few of Indianapolis’s spectacular museums, but they’re only the tip of the iceberg!
Even if you’re not into car racing, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway can be a blast! They also have their own onsite museum, and offer tours (including VIP tours) that range in scope from a short, informative walkthrough to all-day, exclusive-access affairs.
Or, if you want to stretch your legs, we recommend taking a stroll at White River State Park. It boasts lovely river views, sprawling green spaces, several museums, and is also the home of the beautiful Indianapolis Zoo.

Indianapolis may be famous for its fast cars and competitive sports teams, but that’s not the only thing the city has to boast about. It’s also home to some pretty amazing shopping opportunities.
If you’re wanting to spend some time in a mall setting, we recommend The Keystone Fashion Mall. If it’s fine dining you’re craving, look no further than the illustrious Eagle’s Nest Restaurant. Located at the top of the Hayatt Regency, this revolving restaurant offers beautiful 360-degree views of the city, as well as delicious American and international cuisine. This place is very popular, so we strongly recommend getting a reservation if you plan on dining here.
There are many cheaper (but no less delicious) options throughout the city as well. Bru Burger Bar makes an excellent All-American lunch option, or if you’re craving a great sandwich, head to Taste of Havana. Additionally, Tinker Street Restaurant and Bosphorus Istanbul Cafe both make fantastic dinner options.
